Heidi is a technology and outsourcing transactions attorney. She represents organizations purchasing technology or outsourced services in projects ranging from straightforward software license agreements to complex, multinational outsourcing transactions. She advises clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, retail, financial services, insurance, universities and higher education, and state government.

Heidi’s concentration in technology and outsourcing began during the rise of the Internet and the 1990’s dot-com boom and has expanded and evolved in tandem with the tremendous growth in the technology industry. Now armed with over 20 years of experience, Heidi regularly assists clients in navigating areas of exposure in technology and outsourcing transactions and structuring client transactions to include risk mitigation strategies. She also assists businesses in protecting and leveraging their data in data sharing and processing agreements and advises businesses on privacy and security issues that arise in transactions involving sensitive data.

In addition to working with clients on complex technology and outsourcing transactions, she helps clients with high-volume technology needs develop contracting and governance strategies to procure technology in an efficient manner. This has involved training internal client resources and implementing models that include a combination of client and external resources, tailored to the client’s unique business needs.

Located in Charlotte, Heidi enjoys exploring the mountains, barrier-islands, and lakes in North Carolina, as well as cooking and gardening. Heidi also has two very active teenagers, and frequently can be found supporting their interests at the baseball and track fields, and basketball and volleyball courts.
