Laurel’s practice ranges from representing clients in contested custody cases to advising clients in complex financial matters, as well as negotiating prenuptial agreements and solving multi-faceted divorce and post-divorce issues. As a member of the distinguished American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators, Laurel is experienced with complex compensation issues, tax matters, and valuations. She frequently works with business and real estate appraisers and forensic accountants to ensure her clients’ interests are protected. She leaves no stone unturned in the process of protecting her clients and achieving optimal outcomes.
In addition to litigating in court, a significant amount of Laurel’s practice includes representing clients in mediating, negotiating, and resolving both contested and uncontested matters in an efficient manner.
Laurel’s compassionate nature serves her clients well, particularly when she has been appointed by the justices of the Probate & Family Court to act as a Guardian ad Litem and report to the Court in high conflict custody matters.
Her compassion extends beyond her legal practice to her volunteer work. Through a local charity, Laurel prepares and delivers homemade meals to people in need. She also volunteers for a local animal rescue by processing adoption applications to expedite the placement of rescue cats into permanent homes.
