The Gaming Disputes Court is part of the Mohegan Tribal Government, which allows the Mohegan Tribe to have its own governmental structure and the power to govern itself within guidelines set by the U.S. Constitution. The law of the Mohegan Tribe consists of the Mohegan Tribal Code, Mohegan Tribal Ordinances and Resolutions, and the statutory and common law of the State of Connecticut, but only to the extent that they do not conflict with Mohegan Tribal Law.
