As Chair of the firm’s Family Law Group and a member of Conn Kavanaugh’s Management and Allocations Committee, Kirsten focuses her practice on divorce, paternity actions, prenuptial and domestic partner agreements, and high-stakes probate litigation. She is widely recognized for navigating cases involving high-net-worth individuals, complex business valuations, and intricate equity compensation structures. Kirsten brings deep experience to sensitive and high-conflict custody disputes, including matters involving parental alienation, coercive control, and domestic violence.
In addition to her trial practice, Kirsten is heavily involved in alternative dispute resolution and court-appointed neutral work. A certified court conciliator, she chairs the Plymouth County Conciliation Program for the Probate & Family Court and frequently serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem to investigate and deliver recommendations on contested custody issues. Her experience spans into the many areas of probate litigation which include guardianship, conservatorship, and administration of complex estates.
Prior to joining Conn Kavanaugh in 2012, Kirsten managed her own successful law practice for more than 15 years – giving her a distinct, practical understanding of business and financial dynamics. As a prominent member of the legal community, she has served as President of the Plymouth County Bar Association and remains on their Executive Board. Kirsten also serves on the Joint Bar Committee which vets judicial applicants for the Governor’s Office and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Southeastern Chapter of the American Red Cross.
