Andrew R. Dennington

Andrew has a diverse litigation practice primarily focused on business litigation, professional liability defense, and employment law. He also has experience representing clients in insurance coverage and real estate disputes, and in criminal defense matters. Andrew has regularly appeared on behalf of clients in the federal and state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and also in arbitration proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Andrew has been selected as a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics and the publishers of Boston Magazine in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. In 2011, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognized Andrew as one of twenty "Up and Coming Lawyers."

Andrew is a past Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association (BBA's) Consumer Finance Committee. As a Co- Chair of the BBA's Consumer Finance Working Group in 2011, Andrew helped draft a BBA report recommending updates to the Massachusetts Attorney General's consumer debt collection regulations.

    • Second chair at FINRA arbitration in California resulting in award of multiple damages and attorneys fees to firm hedge fund client.

  • Employment Litigation / Counseling

    • Lead trial counsel in Suffolk Superior Court bench trial resulting in award of back overtime wages and punitive damages to firm pro bono clients.

  • Construction

    • Successfully briefed and argued summary judgment motion resulting in dismissal of indemnity action filed by Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office against firm construction client.

  • Professional Liability

    • Second chair at trial of medical malpractice action defending health care provider against claims of permanent brain injury.

  • Criminal / White Collar / Regulatory

    • Lead counsel in successful defense of information technology professional charged with felony counts of conspiracy and larceny as a result of complaints by disgruntled former client.
    • Second chair at trial of public employee charged with procurement fraud in Suffolk Superior Court.
    • Assist senior partners in firm’s representation of subjects of federal criminal investigations, including health care executives, lobbyists, and attorneys.
