The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts has appointed Conn Kavanaugh partner Carol Starkey to a five-year term on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation, as the representative of the Boston Bar Association. In this role, Carol’s responsibilities include governance, leadership, and stewardship.
The Commonwealth established MLAC in 1983 to ensure that low-income people facing critical non-criminal legal issues would have access to legal information, advice, and representation. Its mission is to improve legal aid in Massachusetts through collaboration with the legal services community, the public, the bar, and the legislature.
We applaud Carol on the fine work that has earned her a reputation for excellence.
