Erin Higgins and Alexis Theriault spoke at the Boston Bar Association’s event “Litigation Finance: Ethical and Practical Considerations,” which was held on Monday, March 5 at the Boston Bar Association. The program discussed the trends in litigation finance, cases that are being financed, and ethical and practical considerations for attorneys advising clients about entering into litigation finance arrangements.

Thomas E. Peisch addressed a group of judges at a judicial conference on the subject of evaluating tort and other damages in Massachusetts. His talk featured a discussion of recent developments in the law and some suggestions for judicial practice in light of them.

Erin K. Higgins was a panelist at a Boston Bar Association seminar titled “Navigating Conflict Issues in Transactional and Litigation Matters.” Ms. Higgins spoke about conflict issues that arise in the representation of companies with large corporate families, and in particular conflicts resulting from corporate mergers and acquisitions.
